Hi and welcome to the reading world!
I’m excited to be sharing another monthly reading wrap up today. September was a month where I overall enjoyed most of my reads! I’m super excited to be in spooky season right now, and so I’ve got a mystery and suspense or two I read last month and I’m excited to pick up more in those genres in October!
What’s on the Shelves:
I think my favorite read of the month was probably The Honjin Murders by Seishi Yokomizo, translated by Louise Heal Kawai.

This is a mystery novel translated from Japanese and the start of a detective series. While I didn’t love some elements of the big reveal, I thought it was overall a compelling and interesting story and I’m definitely curious to read more in this series!
What’s on the Blog:
I shared 2 Book Lists on the blog last month: Translated Fiction Recommendations for Autumn 2021 and Book Club Recommendations! I love writing Book Lists and coming up with ideas for what categories of books to share, so feel free to leave suggestions of what book lists you’d like to see in the comments!
I also reviewed Certain Dark Things on the blog as part of @b2weird #B2WTours!
There’s my September reading. I am so excited to be reading some more spooky season reads this month! What was your favorite September read?
Thanks for stopping by!
