Hi and welcome to the reading world!
Today, we’re gonna wrap up my August reads. August is Women in Translation month, and I was super excited to take part in the Translated Gems WiT readathon! I only got through a couple of reads this month, but most of these were translated fiction and I’m so excited to continue to branch out in my reading.
What’s on the Shelves:
My favorite read of the month was definitely Kiki’s Delivery Service by Eiko Kadono and translated by Emily Balistrieri!

The Hayao Miyazaki film adaptation is very well known, but the original story is one I hadn’t picked up before and I absolutely loved it! I’m definitely planning on watching the film soon. This is a super great YA/MG read for the fall and spooky season, but also year round because it has a great heartwarming story and Jiji is absolutely adorable.
What’s on the Blog:
I shared a review for Terminal Boredom this month, another Women in Translation read!
I also shared recommendations based on your favorite tv shows and movies and my most ambitious Book List yet- backlist reads that remind me of 15 anticipated fall new releases.
There are my reading and blogging wrap ups for August! I’m excited for fall reads and spooky season!
Thanks for stopping by!
