Hi and welcome to the reading world!
I’m back with the second post of my Mid Year Favorites 2021. Today, I’m going to be sharing my top 3 reads of some more favorite genres, Sci Fi and Fantasy! I’ve been having particularly good reading years for SFF and Contemporary/Literary Fiction, so I’m thrilled to share these with you all!
Also, as a quick sneak peek, I’ll actually be having a bonus post come up later this week! I’m going to be sharing a review of Beast by Ollie Doherty on the blog later this week as a bonus post in addition to the usual Tuesday and Thursday posts, so stay tuned for that review! Now, let’s get on to the Mid Year Favorites!

This is the third and final novel of the Daevabad trilogy and is not only my favorite of the series but probably one of my all time favorite fantasy novels period. I absolutely love the depth this conclusion brought to an incredible cast of characters and an intense and intricate story. There’s also going to be more from the Daevabad world coming out in 2022!

Kindred is a sci fi classic, and it is definitely an incredible read. This novel incorporates time travel into the story of a young woman pulled back from her own modern day life into the South in the 1800s and the dangers she faces throughout this experience.

This is a book I read with some members of the @b2weird book club and it is such a unique world and story that it’s difficult to explain. I loved having the audio as I read along with this one because there definitely is a lot to explore and get into with this story and I enjoyed having both mediums for reading. I’m excited to read on in the trilogy with my fellow weirdos!
So, there are my 3 favorite SFF reads so far this year. I’m so excited to be finding so many favorites so far in 2021! What are some of your favorite reads so far this year?
Thank you so much for stopping by!

The third book is my all time favorite! I hope you love the rest of the series.
