Hi and welcome to the reading world!
Today I’m sharing my monthly wrap up post for June 2021! My reading has definitely decreased in quantity, but I’m finding more favorite reads out of the ones I do pick up and so I’m definitely not complaining!
For those new to monthly wrap ups on the blog, I share a mini recap of every book I read on my Bookstagram at the end of each month. Here on the blog, I share my favorites and highlights from my reading and blogging, as well as discuss any readathons and reading challenges I’ve been participating in!
Without further ado, let’s dive into my reads, challenges, and blogging this month!
What’s on the Shelves:
Favorite Reads:

Read this if you’re in the mood for: a fantasy novel unlike anything you’ve read, that combines elements of dystopia and technological elements with an incredible magic system that is both intuitively understood and built out in the story. This book and the trilogy as a whole are lauded by readers and awards alike for good reason, and I can’t wait to read on and pick up more books by N.K. Jemisin!

Read this if you’re in the mood for: a novel that is concise but carries incredible depth and an exploration of understanding LGBTQIA+ identities through the perspective of young individuals and their communities and families . This story made me laugh at times, and also had incredibly emotional and thought provoking moments. I read this one on audio, but I definitely plan to pick up and read a physical copy as well.

Total 2021 Savings: 771.56
