Hi and welcome to the reading world!
Today’s Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is themed around books I meant to get to reading. I’m never a huge fan of set TBRs for myself because I inevitably get off track with my reads, but these are some books I meant to read in 2020 and hope to do so this year!

Adult Fantasy, #1 in The Stormlight Archive

Adult Fantasy, #1 in The Green Bone Saga

Adult Fantasy, #1 in The Poppy War Trilogy

Adult Fantasy, #1 in The Broken Earth Trilogy

Adult Horror, Standalone

Adult Contemporary/Literary Fiction, Standalone

Adult Memoir, Standalone (I think this one is a standalone but I’ve also heard Obama will be releasing another volume of his Presidential memoirs, so feel free to let me know in the comments!)

Adult Fantasy, #3 in The Daevabad Trilogy

Adult Non-fiction, Standalone

Adult Sci-Fi, Standalone
Have you read any of these? What did you think?
Thank you for stopping by!

I’m currently listening to the audiobook of A Promised Land. 29+ hours of book! I think about KINDRED often. Very disturbing.
I have the audiobook of A Promised Land as well and I’ve been listening to the narration slowly but surely! It’s an excellent read. I’ve definitely heard Kindred deals with some very difficult topics but also that it is a sci-fi classic and an incredible book. Definitely interested to read it myself as well as read more of Octavia E. Butler’s work this year. Thanks for stopping by!
The Poppy War was good. I hope you like it!
I’ve heard amazing things! Thanks for stopping by!
ooh I can only recommend Stormlight Archive. The books are a commitment but so worthy. I promise you, you’ll be blown away by the story telling.

I’ve heard they are epic and so I definitely want to get into them soon! Thanks for stopping by!
A Promised Land was on my list this week too, I got it for Christmas. I also really want to read The Poppy War at some point.

So excited for both of those! Thanks for stopping by!
No problem 🙂
A Promised Land was on my list, too.
My post.
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it as well!
I love making TBR lists, but I rarely actually stick to them. Case in point: I put 50 books on seasonal TBR lists in 2020 and only read 19! I haven’t read any of the books on your list, although I do love Sanderson’s Mistborn series. I hope you love all these when and if you get to them.
Happy TTT!

Totally fair- I don’t generally do set TBRs either. Thanks for stopping by!
Great post! I’ve heard so much about Brandon Sanderson and The Poppy War. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2021/01/top-ten-tuesday-one-honorable-mention.html.
Thanks for stopping by!
Obama’s book is on my TBR, too. I am waiting for the audio from my library. I hope we both get to read it soon.
N.K. Jemisin’s broken earth trilogy is one of my favourite things ever! The Empire of Gold was also a fantastic ending to a trilogy.
I just finished the Jade City actually. So many books so little time, am I right? Hope you manage to get around to these. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/books-i-meant-to-read-in-2020/
Plain Bad Heroines was on my list too. I hope we both get to it soon!
